Capital III
We have recently acquired a breeding stallion here at Sunfield. After years of seeking stallions with a recognizable pedigree, athletic ability, and a great disposition to breed to our mares, I found one of our own! Capital III is a 16.2 hand Holsteiner stallion by the great jumping sire Cor de la Bryere. I fell in love with “Cappy” the first time I rode him—he is beautifully trained, rides easily to the jumps, feels like he can jump anything, and is very gentle to handle. He is everything I always looked for when I was choosing stallions for my own mares. He is a beautiful horse, a real pleasure to ride, and very pleasant to be around. We are excited to offer his services to outside mares.
We will nominate him for 2007 to both the International Hunter Futurity and the International Jumper Futurity. We offer fresh cooled semen only. The stud fee for 2007 is $1250 (live foal guarantee), with a $300 collection fee. Most mares bred in ’06 settled with just one collection. We now accept Visa and Mastercard for your convenience.
We are proud to say that 3 of the mares bred to Cappy in 2006 were past winners of the Broodmare Class at Devon! If you intend to breed your mare, Capital III is definitely a stallion to consider.
